OnePlus 5 Spotted on AnTuTu, Launch Expected Soon.

OnePlus 5 has been in the buzz around since a quite a while and recently it got spotted on AnTuTu, a popular benchmarking platform.

According to the reports, The OnePlus 5 will be powered by the latest Qualcomm’s SnapDragon 835 chipset, and Adreno 540 GPU which promises to deliver a splendid performance. However, the benchmarks say that the phone is coupled with 6 GB of RAM instead of 8 GB whose rumours were strong. Maybe OnePlus may launch a higher storage variant later. According to some reports, OnePlus 5 managed to beat the Galaxy S8 in benchmarks, so the higher RAM surely seems to be doing a great job here. It will be interesting to test out the device!

The Camera on the OnePlus 3 and the 3T were promising and the OnePlus 5 will bring in some improvements. Reports say that it will have a 16 MP rear and front camera, but there are no reports of what the second camera of the dual cam setup of the OnePlus 5 will have, either wide angle or monochrome. But it will surely deliver better.

The display is where we feel OnePlus 5 didn’t get a marginal upgrade, it still will be having a 1920×1080  FHD Display with a 16:9 standard aspect ratio, which actually contradicts strong rumours of the next OnePlus flagship having a 2K and QHD display.

Another USP for the OnePlus 5 will be the Rapid Charge Technology, which was present on the OnePlus 3/3T. It makes a return here, and the 20W charger will surely help charge your battery quickly. The base model of the OnePlus 5 will be having 64 GB of UFS Storage with 6GB or RAM, we may get a higher storage variant with 8GB of RAM.

The model number is said to be A5000, and the phone will be running the latest version of Oxygen OS on top of Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
We may see a higher price for the OnePlus 5 but given OnePlus’s history, they might price it agressively to provide flagship grade specs and we feel it’s a strong competitor to the Xaiomi Mi6 and Galaxy S8.

OnePlus 5 is supposed to launch in the next few weeks, and we can expect a pretty fast Indian launch with the global launch.

We will be covering latest news of the OnePlus 5 and other phones pretty soon, so stay tuned.
